THE goal of our ministry is to proclaim and teach God’s Word in the prisons.

We do this by partnering God and prison ministry agencies to reach out to prisoners, discharged prisoners and their families so as to demonstrate God’s love to them.

BMC Prison Ministry had a humble beginning in 2002 when 3 church volunteers started Bible Study classes in Tanah Merah Prison. The ministry soon grew. In 2005, during the 40 Days of Spiritual Purpose Ministry Fair, 30 church members signed up as prison ministry volunteers.

In July 2005, BMC Prison Ministry was officially launched and it conducted its first Sunday Chapel Service at Changi Prison Complex (A5HU4). Today, the ministry has about 40 volunteers involved in in-care and aftercare ministry.
