10-28 July: Doulos Hope Volunteer Programme

Dates of the volunteer programme: 10 July 2024 to 28 July 2024

There will be two shifts available to choose from each day (12pm to 5pm, or 4.30pm to 10pm). You must commit to serve for at least 4 days. More information will be provided.

As a Doulos Hope volunteer, you will:
• Serve on the team with our international crew
• Gain exposure to cross-cultural missions
• Build friendships with like-minded Jesus followers
• Be an ambassador for Doulos Hope and for Jesus

To join the programme, you need to:
• Fill in the application form by 5 July 2024, 11pm
• Ask your pastor for a pastoral recommendation (We will contact your pastor)

Q: When does the volunteer programme happen and where will it be held?
A: Between July 10 and July 28, onboard Doulos Hope at VivoCity.

Q: What are the requirements?
A: You must be:
• A born-again Christian and involved in a church for at least 1 year
• Over 18 years of age
• Capable of communicating in English
• Capable of performing tasks involving physical labour
• Flexible and adaptable
• In Singapore
• Available to attend our Pre-Ship Training Session (6 July, Sat, 7-9pm) and Onboard Training Session (9 July, Tue, 7-9pm)

Q: Can I continue to work or go to school normally during the programme?
A: Yes, you can continue your work or study routine during your onboard service, keeping in mind your commitment to be on the ship on time to begin your shift.

Q: Is there any cost?
A: There is no cost to be a volunteer!

Q: Can I stay onboard during the programme?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot arrange onboard accommodation. It is the volunteer’s responsibility to get to the ship whenever you are on duty.
