LoveSingapore’s Momentum 2021 Series: To Equip Parents and Educators on Sexuality Education
1. SYNOPSIS
Consciously or unconsciously, society expects parents and educators to have all the answers to life, including a hot trending issue like Sexuality.
Human Sexuality is a delicate topic. What is age-appropriate content? Who should be the one teaching our children about sexuality? Is UNESCO’s Comprehensive Sexuality Education helpful at all?
Parents may find it awkward to talk about sexuality to their children. Teachers may find it a heavy responsibility, extra-curricular. It need not be that way. Help is available. And instead of zipping lips and letting social media shape the thinking of our children, we must draw from what God says about sexuality and point them in the way they should go.
The parents’ involvement is especially crucial because deep down, young people want their parents’ guidance on sexuality matters.

3. PURPOSE | FORMAT
To equip parents and educators on how to disciple our children and students on sexuality matters. The programme is a dynamic mix of keynotes, candid conversations, panel discussions, and prayer.
4. KEY TOPICS
• What is the Christian perspective according to God’s original design and why it matters?
• Who is responsible to teach our young about sexuality?
• How do we talk to a child/student about homosexuality and gender identity?
• What should we do when our child or student struggles with same-sex attraction?
